MAMATH
Portfolio + Blog
I'm an artist in Brisbane and Mamath is my little indie art brand and online presence. :) I love comics and illustration and make merch to pay my bills. I run the annual Comicstreet indie comics market in Brisbane.
MAMATH AA App 2026
Hi there, Artist Alley coordinator!
This page shows a sampling of my work for you to easily assess my application – however, you’re welcome to look at my shop website (shop.mamath.net) for more specific examples of what I’m selling right now. 😊

I am an artist based in Brisbane, making cute, cool and colourful art mostly inspired by nature and mythology, with a healthy dash of influence from animation and videogames. My work is characterised by bold pops of colour and dynamic linework! I like to have a balance of fan art and original character work on my table.
I have a large catalogue of sticker and small print designs as well, as being well known for making high quality enamel pins. In addition, I enjoy having a few more unusual items on my table, which can be anything from limited run screen-printed shirts, plush toys based on my own characters or self-published comics. In the past, I’ve even made a fully custom box of Christmas crackers, organised comics anthologies and contributed to and stocked artist collaboration tarot decks. I’m always working on some new weird thing!
My most popular products include the Boxfox plush toy and Tiny Pantheon Egyptian Mythology pin collection. Outside of attending pop culture conventions, I organise the Comicstreet Indie Comics Festival in Brisbane, which encourages local original comics art and which I hope to see expand in the future.
Illustrations:
I sell these as prints and hope to continue expanding my selection! I try to have at least 50% original work over fan art.

Smaller Merch Art:
I make a LOT of small prints and stickers! I love having fun and affordable options on my table so that there’s a little something for everyone who comes by.

Examples of Pins/Accessories:
I design everything myself and work with trusted manufacturers to create high quality pieces. I love trying different techniques to create these wearable mini artworks!

Comics Projects:
Comics are a hugely time-consuming endeavour but I think it’s important to see locally made works around the convention scene!

Larger Item Examples:

…and more, as space allows!
Thanks for considering my application!
And remember you can look at my shop for more examples of what I’ve been up to!
